Tracking and scheduling process
What to Expect with Freight Delivery
Flooring orders are shipped palletized via common freight carriers. Because freight delivery is different from parcel services like UPS or FedEx, it’s important to understand how the process works.
Palletized Shipment
Your flooring will arrive secured on one or more pallets, depending on order size. Pallets are shrink-wrapped and banded for transport.
Delivery Timing
Freight deliveries are typically made during standard business hours.
Some carriers may call ahead when the driver is en route, but advance delivery appointments are not guaranteed unless specifically arranged. We can request a call-ahead service when available.
Unloading Options
Liftgate Service (Recommended for Residential Deliveries)
If liftgate service is selected, the driver will lower the pallet from the truck to the ground at curbside or driveway level.
Without Liftgate Service
If liftgate service is not selected, the customer is responsible for unloading the pallet from the truck. This requires a forklift or sufficient manpower to unload by hand.
We strongly recommend liftgate service for most residential deliveries.
Inspecting Your Shipment
Before signing any delivery paperwork, customers should visually inspect the shipment for obvious damage to packaging or pallets.
If you have questions about freight delivery requirements before ordering, our team is happy to walk you through the process.

Larger orders reduce per-square-foot shipping cost
Customers ordering 1,000+ square feet often see significantly lower per-unit freight costs.
For example" 1300 square feet of engineered hardwood flooring shipped to Florida worked out to $3.45 per square foot total, for flooring that retailed for over $5.00 per sq ft before it was discontinued.
